Surface Under the Table
As a college student, I had a messy desk and it prevented me from working on my desk. Trying to solve this problem - by shoving all the mess aside - I've added a second layer under where I would be able to put away items from my desktop.
SOLID BRASS SUPPORT
Hardware used for adjusting desktop angle.
EXTENSION CABLE COMPARTMENT
Since I had to work my computer and also had many electronic devices that needed electricity, I wanted to have an extension cable near by. I didn't want to have the extension cable exposed, so I made a small compartment to fit an extension cable with extra space to fit all the plugs. The Desk has a hole on the back to connect the extension cable to the wall.
CELL PHONE CHARGING PORT
To be able to charge the phone on top of the desk while working, I put a hole on the side to run a cable to run through.
DIFFERENT FORMS FOR DIFFERENT PURPOSE
To work on computers, I can set the desk flat. To sketch, I can tilt the table to become a drafting table. Finally, to access items that were cleared from the top of the desk, I can flip the desk up.
DRAWERS AND HIDDEN COMPARTMENTS
HIDDEN COMPARTMENT FOR SKETCHBOOKS
I had sketch books standing along the wall that were sometimes accidentally kicked around. So I made a compartment for sketchbooks to be hidden away.
